The Office of the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) has selected seven ICT (Information and Communications Technology) initiatives out of over 40 suggestions received from ICT units across the United Nations Secretariat. These initiatives, known as Fast Forward (FF) Initiatives, were selected by the CITO, Mr. Choi Soon-hong, and ICT managers throughout the Secretariat based on their ability to deliver high impact, user-focused solutions in 90 days or less. The goal of the ICT Fast Forward Programme is to facilitate rapid ICT solutions aligned with institutional needs or to improve the working life of staff and the larger UN community. FF Initiatives also encourage ICT personnel to be innovative and work in teams across ICT units.
FF initiative leads coordinate work and ensure timely delivery of results. While team members for some initiatives have been suggested, any ICT personnel interested in participating in the selected initiatives are encouraged to contact the lead for details on how you can contribute. UN personnel outside the ICT community can also participate in an initiative at the invitation of ICT personnel.
